Dr. Bogale entered medical school right after finishing high school. He studied at Gondar College of Medical Sciences, Ethiopia and graduated with Honors. He won a fully paid scholarship to study Tropical Ophthalmology at University College London, England.

After just taking a short certificate course in tropical ophthalmology, he moved to the USA and did his internship in internal medicine at Northshore University Hospital in New York, then transferred to UCSF Fresno to finish his residency training.

Since finishing residency, he has been working as a nocturnist hospitalist at Mills Peninsula.

Dr. Bogale is married and enjoys traveling, spending time with his big family and driving out of town on his days off.
