Dr. Patel grew up in Kenya and completed undergraduate and medical school at Cardiff University in the UK. She moved to the USA in 2006 and did her internal medicine training at LAC + USC medical center in Los Angeles. She enjoys being a Hospitalist but when time permits she also keeps her outpatient skills up to date.

She lives with her husband and precious dog and loves traveling. She is also interested in outdoor activities, including climbing Mt Kilimanjaro, ice climbing in Finland, glacier walking in Argentina, bird watching. She also enjoys yoga and embroidery.
